Delete your account
This page explains how to have your Chika account and its data deleted. It applies to accounts created in the Chika app by Eden Holdings Philippines Inc. (package com.edenholdingsinc.chika).
Delete it yourself, in the app
Open Profile and tap Settings, then tap Delete account and confirm, though on the version currently in the stores Delete account is at the foot of Profile instead.
It takes seconds and happens straight away. You do not need to write to us first.
If you cannot reach that control
Write to us instead if you have signed out, deleted the app, or the age gate has refused your account, and equally if you would simply rather a person did it for you.
Send an email to the address below from the email address your Chika account is signed in with (the Google or Apple account you use to sign in):
Email: hello@chikachat.com, with the subject line Delete my account
You do not need to include anything else. We use the sending address to locate the account, and we may reply once to confirm the request before acting on it. Emailed requests are completed within 30 days.
Before you confirm
The app asks: "Delete your account? Your Crowns, chats and private Characters are deleted. Public Characters you made stay for people already chatting with them. No one new can find them, and they no longer carry your account."
What gets deleted
- Your account and profile, including your Display name, your email address, your date of birth and your profile picture
- Every conversation and message with a Character
- The pictures generated for you in chat
- What each Character remembers about you, which is the Between us note
- Your Drafts and Private Characters
- Every photo you uploaded to make a Character, and every face-photo marker
- Your Hidden list
- Your Crown balance, including Crowns bought with real money, which cannot be restored afterwards
- Your Top-up records (the App Store or Google Play, and RevenueCat, our purchase provider, keep their own record of what you paid)
- Anything else held against your account, including records left by features Chika no longer offers
What we keep, and for how long
Public Characters you made are kept for the people already chatting with them, with your account removed from them. Each keeps its name, picture, tagline, description and instructions. No one new can find them
Reports you submitted are kept, with a copy of the reported message, so a report cannot be erased by deleting the account
These records are no longer linked to a usable account once deletion completes.
Before you go
Deletion is permanent. Your conversations, your pictures, what each Character remembers about you and any unspent Crowns cannot be recovered, including Crowns bought with real money. If something is broken and that is why you are leaving, contact us first and we will try to fix it.
Version history
Version 1.6, 1 October 2026. Player-made Characters can now be Public, so this page says what deleting your account does to them. The app's own warning is quoted. Drafts and Private Characters, your uploaded photos and your Hidden list are deleted; Public Characters stay, without your account on them. Evidence that the law requires us to preserve is covered in the Privacy Policy.
Version 1.5, 21 September 2026. The in-app route comes first. This page described an email-only process completed within 30 days and never mentioned that you can delete the account yourself, in the app, in seconds. The email route is unchanged and still open to everyone, and the 30 days belong to it alone.
The "What gets deleted" list now matches what the app tells you at the moment you confirm. "All story runs and their progress" is gone because no Story can be started or completed in Chika, so a promise about story runs sent Players hunting for a feature that is not there; anything an old account still holds is covered by the last line instead. "Unlocked characters" and "story endings" are gone from "Before you go" for the same reason: there is no unlock left in the product. "name, username, email, birthday" is replaced by what is actually held, and the Between us note is named.
Version 1.4, 7 September 2026. Purchase records are deleted with the account, not kept. The earlier text said they were held for tax and accounting, which was never how deletion worked; the App Store and Google Play keep their own record of what you paid. Reports are kept, and this page now says why.
Version 1.3, 31 August 2026. The operator is now named in full as Eden Holdings Philippines Inc. instead of the informal "Eden Holdings". No change to how deletion works or to what is deleted.
Version 1.2, 25 August 2026. Deletion-request address changed to hello@chikachat.com. The address published in 1.1, hello@onlyfriends.ai, sits on a domain that publishes no mail records, so a deletion request sent there would not have reached anyone. This supersedes 1.1: chikachat.com, the domain this site itself runs on, is where mail is routed.
